ART Grand Prix is pleased to announce the arrival of Patrik Pasma to the team they have entered in the European Formula Regional Championship by Alpine (FRECA). The young Finn will replace Thomas Ten Brinke from the sixth round of the season, which will take place on the last weekend of July at the legendary Spa-Francorchamps Circuit in Belgium (23-25/07).
At 21, Patrik already has a solid background in motorsport, a career he began back in 2017 in the British Formula 4 Championship. He then moved to the MRF Challenge – securing a well-deserved 3rd place in the championship before moving to Formula Renault Eurocup and then European Formula Regional where he secured 4 wins and a 4th place in the championship in 2020.
He started 2021 with a successful campaign in F3 Asia (4th) before joining FRECA where he currently occupies 10th place.
Patrik Pasma:
“I am really happy to announce that I’ll be joining ART Grand Prix for the remainder of this season. It is a great team with many great records, and I can be proud to be part of it. It won’t be a walk in the park, starting our collaboration in the middle of the season, but I love the challenge. I am really looking forward to working with them and seeing what we can achieve together”.
Sébastien Philippe:
“I would like to thank Kic Motorsport for facilitating Patrik’s transfer to ART Grand Prix during the season, and I am sure that between his maturity and our experience, his acclimatization will be quick and efficient. Patrik can have a big impact on the rest of the season and we are counting on him to help us win the Teams championship”.
