ART GP is excited to announce the signing of Christian Mansell for the 2024 Formula 3 season.
The 18-year-old will be contesting his second full season in the discipline after finishing 12th in 2023 when he secured two podium finishes in his rookie year.
Christian started with karting in 2018 before competing in two rounds of his national F4 championship. He later moved to the United Kingdom in 2020 to give a new boost to his career.
He made a good impression right away in the British Formula 4 championship with a win, and a 5th position in the championship. There was more success to come, as the young Australian stormed to a dominant title victory in the Rookie Cup with 14 class victories from 26 races.
In 2021, he stepped up to the GB3 Championship where a very strong campaign saw him record two race wins to finish third in the standings. The following year, Christian ended up 3rd in the international EuroFormula Open.
Christian Mansell:
“I’m super happy to sign with ART Grand Prix for the 2024 FIA Formula 3 season. I’m looking forward to working with the team to achieve better results in the teams’ championship and for myself as a driver next year. I’ve already competed in Macau with the team, so I’m very well integrated into the ART Grand Prix group, and I could not be happier. I’m really excited to start this new journey and I’m eagerly anticipating the upcoming race in Bahrain!”
Sébastien Philippe:
“Christian has shown he has a good ability to learn and progress with a strong second half of the 2023 season. He confirmed his qualities to the team during the off-season tests and in Macau. In 2024, he will have everything he needs to blossom and achieve both his goals as well as those of the team.”
