ART Grand Prix is thrilled to confirm that American driver Lia Block will continue her journey with the team for the 2025 F1 Academy season, supported by Williams Racing.
Lia joined the F1 Academy in 2024 for her first year racing in open-wheel after a successful career in rallying and karting. Over the season, she has embraced the challenges of a new driving discipline, showing remarkable progress and adaptability. Highlights of her debut year include impressive fourth-place finishes in both races during the Singapore Grand Prix. Lia maintained her momentum in Qatar, securing a fourth-place qualification and finishing sixth in Race 1. She currently stands 8th in the championship ahead of the final round in Abu Dhabi.
Lia will remain part of the Williams Racing Driver Academy. This program is dedicated to nurturing talent at every stage of their motorsport journey, providing drivers with the tools and guidance needed to excel both on and off the track.
The F1 Academy, Formula 1’s all-female racing series, will embark on its third season in 2025, featuring drivers backed by each Formula 1 team. The upcoming season will consist of seven rounds, all supporting F1 races around the world, further solidifying the series’ role in advancing women in motorsport.
