ART Grand Prix will be applying to join the 2020 Eurocup Formula Renault

ART Grand Prix is pleased to announce that it will be applying to join the 2020 Eurocup Formula Renault season.

Established in 1971, this category has always been one of the largest pools of high-performance motorsport drivers. It has produced many big names such as Alain Prost, Kimi Räikkönen and Lewis Hamilton.
The training of young drivers is also in ART Grand Prix's DNA. In 2019, the Formula 1 world championship grid includes 8 drivers who have raced for ART Grand Prix in the Junior Formulas.

New chassis, new turbocharged engine, certified by the FIA and meeting the modern security criteria with halo and lateral anti-intrusive panels, the Eurocup Formula Renault series has been given a new look in 2019. It has become a category of reference in the ladder to F1, just below F2 and F3.

Already contesting Formula 3 and Formula 2, ART Grand Prix would be proud to add the Eurocup Formula Renault to its competition calendar and become one of the 10 teams on the 2020.

Sébastien Philippe (ART Grand Prix CEO):
“The Formula Renault Eurocup is a very good championship that meets all the criteria: competitive, modern and with good security. ART Grand Prix has been involved in this category for many years and our application is part of our business logic, because we are already evolving in Formula 2 and Formula 3 and our core business is to train and support young drivers towards the highest level of motor sport. This year, the Eurocup Formula Renault proved that it could be one of the cornerstones of a young driver’s career after coming out of karting, or their first year in single-seaters. ART Grand Prix’s major vocation is to be present at this key stage of the motor sport pyramid.”
